Number 1 Most Beautiful School in all of Hunan!

I live in a city called Linling, part of Yongzhou in the Hunan Province of China. It is definitely one of the poorer cities, but I love it here. China can be a really dirty place, but it is also beautiful. I teach at the ##1 Middle School. It is set up more like a college and I live on campus. It really is a beautiful place. When I first arrived an English teacher and good friend of mine told me, "This is a beautiful school. It may be the 3rd most beautiful school in all of Hunan. Maybe number#2. Maybe even  number #1 in all of Hunan!" I have been to several schools here and I would have to agree that it is the most beautiful school in Hunan.

Picture 1 : This is one of the classroom buildings.

Picture 2: This is a statue that they have in the middle of campus. It symbolizes hope.

Picture 3 and 4: This is the manmade lake in the middle of campus.

This is the cafeteria.

Picture 5 and 6: Students eating dinner. Another different culture difference. When eating, if there is something you don't like, you can just throw it on the table. Notice all of the food scattered around. Yes, I know this is hard to believe but it is completely normal, even at nice restaurants.
